Scheduled
In order to increase the stability and scalability of our systems, we are performing scheduled maintence to our Event Webhook and Inbound Parse infrastructure. This maintenance includes migrating our webhook infrastructure to new IP ranges.
From February 23rd - March 6th, our legacy webhook infrastructure will be disabled for 12 hours daily, then re-enabled, affecting webhook deliveries.
During these windows, webhook deliveries will only be available from our new IP address ranges, as we phase out our legacy infrastructure. Customers who are still allowlisting our legacy IP addresses will experience webhook delivery failures during these windows.
If you currently use IP allowlisting for your endpoints or SMTP connection, please be aware that we do not provide specific IP ranges. IP ranges are subject to change without notice, and relying on them will lead to service interruptions whenever new infrastructure is introduced.
To ensure stable connectivity, we strongly recommend the following:
- Whitelist the Hostname: Instead of IPs, please whitelist one of the following hostnames smtp.sendgrid.net, api.sendgrid.com, sendgrid.com
- Upgrade Authentication: For better protection and stability, we recommend using Signature Verification or OAuth Verification for Event Webhooks and Inbound Parse.
- Troubleshooting Latency: If you are experiencing connection latency, please run an MTR from your impacted server to smtp.sendgrid.net to identify network bottlenecks.
These methods provide stronger security and are not affected by internal IP changes.
