Monitoring
Our engineering team deployed a change to the internal system associated with the data center that was affected with the aforementioned errors. The deployment occurred at 3:55 PM PT and this change showed health improvements in functionality of non-mail send API and user interface resources for the affected SendGrid systems. After this deploy, both API and user interface errors are showing to be reduced. We are continuing to monitor for stability over the next hour or as soon as more information becomes available.

Investigating
Beginning at 2:38 PM PT on August 24th, our engineers began investigating an issue with errors being reported with one of our data centers. Users may experience timeouts and server errors when connecting the SendGrid API or using the user interface via app.sendgrid.com. This includes errors when trying to access the SendGrid login page as well as API responses including 5XX type errors and "internal server error" with valid request information. This did impact mail send for both web API and SMTP, but a deploy was made at 2:45 PM PT to fix the delays in mail sending. Problems with the user interface as well as other non-mail send API connectivity is still being investigated. We will provide another update in an hour or as soon as more information becomes available.
